I just don't know why people can use other people's works without permission, and even without feeling guilty.

I know its so irritating seeing your stuff in other profile or page.
But lots of people like Innocent in laws of arts..most of them are stealing and tracing
other works by without permission.
They are not guilty because they thought that it's ok and
no one knowing her or his true identities. :l
But, I can understand the hurt and frustration. :<
What ever you feel the need to do to feel safe.
Just know that it isn't just DeviantART that does this kind of stupidity.
If you post your art anywhere on the internet someone is probably going to try and take it for various reasons.
It sucks a lot and I'm sorry people aren't more sensitive to this kind of thing, but, as a general rule, people just plain suck.

I really do hope that you stay on dA, at least for us users that absolutely love your artwork and would never think of using someone else's art without permission. Unfortunately, there are art thieves all over the internet, so even if you choose to display your art on just a personal site, there is a high chance art thieves will find your work there too! It's really terrible the kinds of things people do on the internet and think it's okay. They would never just take a canvas off a wall in a gallery and call it theirs, would they?!
I agree with some of the others here: definitely disable downloads to make it harder to take the pictures, and use a watermark! I would much rather see pictures with a watermark than not get to see any of your wonderful art because some really horrible people ruined it with everyone!

A friend of mine had a similar problem too and even her artwork was being sold on ebay as mousepads..? It's been almost 6 months and still nothing was taken down -__-;;;

Report it to dA and calm down!
You are doing a favor to thieves if you leave dA and it will not change, even if you are gone.
There are always thieves, but to go does not make you happy.
So,report the thieves and calm down.
It would just give these useless thiefs a feeling of winning.
As long as your account is here, thiefs can be reported easily, your gallery is the best prrof that your the original artist. And if they are reported successfully, they might even be banned.
